Minister for Trade and Industry Mr. Chan Chun Sing announced that Singapore is planning for allowing business travelers to enter Singapore for the short term on a [email protected] initiative program.

The program is to allow entry in Singapore to a limited number of business, official, and high economic value travelers from all countries for short-term stays not more than 14 consecutive days. The initiative program will be opening by mid of January 2021

As posted by Minister Chan, the travelers under this category must have confirmed accommodation stay at an appointed facility under the [email protected] initiative and must undergo routine testing and the passenger should adhere to strict safe Management Measures. The measures as mandatory PCR test before arrival, providing the previous travel history for the past 14 days need to be submitted on arrival.

Minister Chan said, the government will ensure that strict health and testing protocols are put in place with this initiative program. Further added, minister Chan said that the initiative is aimed at boosting Singapore’s global reputation and support the eventual economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.

The minister said, there would not be the compulsory quarantine required for the initiative program.

A week back, Singapore has released the news of opening its gate to travelers traveling via Taiwan and delay on the air travel bubble program between Singapore and Hong Kong.
