The iconic Madame Tussauds London, known for its wax statues, is all set to reopen in Dubai later this year. The museum has about 250 wax sculptures in London and is one of the main attractions of London. Merlin Entertainments, the owner of Madame Tussauds group, has now announced that the new museum in Dubai will have sculptures of 60 global stars.
Tourists will be able to check out this star-studded museum in Dubai that will also include big names of the region. It is going to be next to Ain Dubai, which is a large observation wheel.
The first Madame Tussauds opened in London way back in 1835, and has been a point of attraction for 200 years. The figures here are developed with the help of sculptors, who continue to use the techniques of Marie Tussaud, the artist who founded the museum in London back then. It takes an artist 12 weeks to complete a wax figure, and numerous steps are involved to create the final product that looks life-like.
The latest Madame Tussaud that is set to open in Dubai, will have seven themed rooms. India’s Hindi film industry’s popular actor, Shahrukh Khan will have a wax statue here, so will Kylie Jenner. Other global stars such as Christiano Ronaldo and model Cara Delevinge are also going to get lifesize statues here in the museum. Visitors are often found taking selfies with their favourite celebrities at Tussaud’s wax museums.
Dubai is certainly one of the most sought-after destinations in the world, with a host of entertainment options. The museum is, undoubtedly, going to be the latest attraction here.
